District Policy Group Launch Party

January 29, 2014

Nearly 150 guests joined the members of the District Policy Group on Wednesday, January 29 to celebrate the launch of the team’s new identity. The District Policy Group, formerly known as the Lobbying & Advocacy Team, will remain a part of the firm and continues to be housed in Drinker Biddle's Washington, D.C., office. The group’s new website, districtpolicygroup.com, was revealed at the party and showcases the range of government relations services the boutique team provides to clients.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres overlooking the Capitol on the roof top of the Hall of States. Attendees included friends and clients of the group, Congressional and federal agency staff, Drinker Biddle colleagues from the Washington, Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago offices, Drinker Biddle alumni, and other colleagues. Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) also attended the event. Representatives from several D.C.-based government relations and communications groups attended, including Sidley Austin, the Glover Park Group, CRD Associates, and Tracy Sefl Strategies.

The District Policy Group counsels clients in a range of industries, with a focus on health, insurance, social sciences and biodefense. It will continue to offer a full range of government relations services, including direct lobbying, policy analysis and development, grassroots organizing, advocacy and social media training, regulatory and agency advocacy, Capitol Hill advocacy days and other Washington-based events planning, legislative and regulatory monitoring, coalition building and government relations strategic planning.
