Jeremy Scott has nearly 20 years of broad government relations and lobbying experience. He has particular skill and knowledge in strategic planning, the federal appropriations and authorization processes, planning and executing Hill Days, and developing grassroots and grasstops programs. He represents clients in their legislative interests and policy goals. He provides clients with strategic counseling on a variety of policy and advocacy issues, including advancing authorization legislation, securing federal appropriations support for programmatic funding increases, and working with federal agencies on the implementation of legislation or proposed rules.

Before coming to the District Policy Group, Jeremy served as director of public policy for the national Tourette Syndrome Association, legislative associate with Kinghorn & Associates, LLC, a government consulting firm in Washington, D.C., and legislative correspondent and staff assistant for U.S. Senator Mike DeWine (R-OH)—focusing primarily on health issues.

Originally from Ohio, Jeremy worked at President William McKinley’s Museum and Memorial before moving to Washington, D.C. Once in the nation's capital, Jeremy became a historical interpreter at Mt. Vernon, the Virginia home of President George Washington. Jeremy received his bachelor’s degree in history from Malone University, where he also was a four-year letterman on the University’s soccer team. Jeremy graduated magna cum laude from Johns Hopkins University with a master’s degree in government.
